Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking an Epic Specialist to serve as the top-level technical expert and solution architect for complex applications across the organization. You will help define system scope, design and test highly complex solutions, and guide enterprise-wide Epic decisions.

The role emphasizes governance, standards, mentorship of analysts, and leadership in upgrades and major projects to improve reliability and patient safety across Parkland’s operations.

Required: 5+ Years - Cross-application troubleshooting skills, Nova owner As a Specialist, serves as the top-level technical expert, advisor and solution architect responsible for: Formulating and defining complex system scope and objectives. Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining highly complex applications. Serving as an internal consultant and trusted advisor. Solving the organization's most challenging application and workflow problems. Providing strategic technical leadership without direct management responsibilities. Enterprise-wide Epic architecture and design decisions. Oversight of complex workflow redesign initiatives. Technical leadership during Epic upgrades and major projects. Governance participation and standards development. Mentoring Senior, Intermediate, and Associate analysts. Driving innovation, automation, and application modernization. Ensuring system reliability, patient safety, and operational effectiveness across the enterprise.
