Job description

Our employees rely on dependable technology to do their best work. This entry-level IT Technician role is the front line of that experience. Every employee interaction is treated as a customer experience, where responsiveness, communication, and follow-through matter just as much as the technical fix. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems with their hands, learning every day, and treating every user interaction as a chance to build trust in the IT team and provide excellent customer service. This is a launchpad role into systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity for the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Diagnose, repair, and replace PC, laptop, monitor, printer, peripheral hardware, install software and maintain telephony systems.
  • Image, configure, and deploy new workstations; retire end-of-life devices and securely wipe data.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers on repairs, warranty claims, and equipment orders, following up to make sure commitments are met.
  • Deliver a high-quality internal customer experience by communicating clearly, setting expectations and following through until resolution.
  • Provide first- and second-tier support to employees via tickets, phone, walk-ups, and remote tools.
  • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN, DNS, and printer connectivity issues.
  • Administer user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 (creation, password resets, group access)
  • Document fixes and recurring issues in the IT knowledge base and maintains accurate asset inventory.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong customer service orientation with clear written and verbal communication.
  • CompTIA A+ certification (current or willing to obtain within the first 6 months).
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience repairing PC hardware (RAM, SSDs, power supplies, peripherals).
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and Windows 10/11 administration.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including user and license administration, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive/SharePoint.
  • Strong internal customer focus — able to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and create a positive experience for employees at all levels

Preferred

  • CompTIA Network+ certification, or progress toward Microsoft 365 / Azure credentials.
  • Prior experience on a corporate help desk or IT support team.

How Success is Measured

  • Speed and accuracy of issue resolution.
  • End-user satisfaction from support interactions.
  • Quality and clarity of knowledge-base documentation contributed.
  • Accuracy of asset inventory and timely deployment of new devices.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to pursue new certifications and skills.
  • Collaboration and contribution to team goals.

Culture & Decision-Making

We value expertise and give it room to lead. You’ll work alongside seasoned IT staff who will mentor you and trust you with real ownership of the issues you take on. Our culture emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and respect for subject-matter experts — including the people closest to the work.

What We’ll Give You

  • Great People & Culture – A supportive, values-driven environment where teamwork and integrity come first.
  • Competitive Pay & Benefits – Including comprehensive healthcare, dental, vision, and an 8% fully funded retirement plan.
  • Annual Professional Development and certification reimbursement (A+, Network+, Microsoft, and more).
  • Mentorship from senior IT staff and a clear growth path into systems administration, networking, or security.
