Position Summary

The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining systems, and driving process improvements across the organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to adapting and enhancing our IT operations.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about leveraging technology to create meaningful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical assistance, resolving software, hardware, and network issues for internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain office technology to ensure optimal performance and minimal disruptions.
  • System Administration and Maintenance
  • Assist with the management and optimization of internal systems and platforms, including implementing updates and improvements.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement and Documentation
  • Identify and document IT workflows to streamline operations and drive process efficiencies.
  • Develop user guides and technical documentation to support organizational knowledge-sharing.
  • Equipment and Inventory Management
  • Oversee hardware and software inventory, ensuring licenses are current and equipment is in excellent condition.
  • Support the setup, configuration, and deployment of new systems and tools.
  • Collaboration and Innovation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand IT needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to support company growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role (experience in corporate or technical environments preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
    • Familiarity with ticketing systems, system monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
    • Basic understanding of networking principles and cybersecurity practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication skills to support users of varying technical abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Experience with scripting or automation tools to streamline processes.
  • Knowledge of IT best practices, including security protocols and process optimization.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
