Job summary

Biocair is seeking an IT Technical Engineer in Raleigh, NC to deliver hands-on support across end-user services, infrastructure, networking and cloud technologies. You will ensure colleagues worldwide receive reliable technical support and a seamless technology experience.

The role offers hybrid work with 60% of the week based from our Raleigh, NC office, and opportunities to work on global IT initiatives alongside a collaborative international team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support for users across global locations.
• Configure, maintain and support hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers).
• Support Microsoft 365 apps and services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
• Manage incidents via the IT Service Desk and meet SLAs.
• Support and maintain servers, networking, security and virtualised platforms.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure, cloud and technology projects.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi and firewall issues.

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Technical Engineer to join our IT team in Raleigh. In this role, you will provide hands‑on support across end‑user services, infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies, ensuring colleagues across our global organisation receive exceptional technical support and a seamless technology experience

Working closely with IT colleagues, suppliers, and users worldwide, you'll play a key role in maintaining secure, stable, and efficient IT services while contributing to the delivery of infrastructure and cloud-based projects that support Biocair's continued growth.

Role Responsibilities Overview:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support to users across multiple global locations, ensuring a high-quality support experience.
• Configure, maintain and support user hardware including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint.
• Manage and resolve incidents through the IT Service Desk, ensuring service levels and priorities are met.
• Support and maintain infrastructure environments including servers, networking, security solutions and virtualised platforms.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure, cloud and technology improvement projects
• Troubleshoot networking issues relating to LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi and firewall technologies.

Work Structure:

• Full‑time (40 hours per week), Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30
• Hybrid with 60% of the working week spent working based from our Raleigh, NC office

What You'll Bring:

• Proven experience providing 2nd and 3rd line IT support within a professional environment.
• Experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 services.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server environments, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience working within a busy IT Service
• Desk or technical support environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills across desktop, infrastructure and networking technologies.
• Experience supporting network technologies including firewalls, LAN, WAN and VPN environments
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with users at all levels.
