Job summary

MatchPoint Solutions in Columbus, IN is seeking an IT Technical Engineer to lead design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications. You will own the technical delivery and architecture across multiple mission-critical systems, including L3/L4 production support, and design scalable, secure cloud-native solutions using microservices and event-driven patterns.

The role requires deep experience with React/Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, and Python, plus strong AWS

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with modern frontend and backend stacks incl. React/Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, Python.
• AWS implementation (Lambdas, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS) and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise applications.
• Own technical delivery and architecture of multiple mission-critical apps, including L3/L4 production support.
• Design scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions using microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Define architecture, deployment strategy, and non-functional requirements such as performance and security.

- Role Overview/Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise applications.
• Own the technical delivery and architecture of multiple mission-critical applications, including L3/L4 production support.
• Design scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions using microservices, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Define application architecture, interfaces, deployment strategy, and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, availability).
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex production issues, and drive continuous improvements.
• Enforce enterprise architecture, security, and development standards.
• Lead technical teams, mentor developers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and architecture diagrams.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js/Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
• Extensive experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Experience with integration technologies such as Kafka, MuleSoft, ESB, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and database normalization.
• Good understanding of secure application design, data privacy, encryption, and access control.
• Hands-on experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub Copilot, Visual Studio, and Draw.io.
• Experience using AIassisted/agentic AI frameworks for software development and workflow automation.
• Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and production support skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, influence architecture decisions, and deliver independently in a global, multi stakeholder environment.
