Job summary

Hitachi Digital Services seeks a Technical Lead to own architecture and delivery of enterprise cloud and data solutions. You will guide offshore teams in India, translate business needs into scalable tech plans, and mentor engineers while championing AI-assisted development on AWS.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering leadership, deep Java and AWS expertise, and strong stakeholder management in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, and technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.
• Advanced experience with MS SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
• Proficiency in Angular and modern TypeScript-based front-end development.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, cloud-native architectures, and AI-enabled application development.
• Hands-on knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks, LLM integrations, and AI-driven engineering practices.
• Expertise with GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, and developer productivity tools.
• Experience with Bamboo, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Proven success leading and coordinating offshore development teams in India.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and client-facing leadership skills.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives and delivery commitments.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments; AWS or Java certifications are a plus.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Technical Lead, you will own the end-to-end design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise applications while remaining hands-on with development. You'll partner with Business Analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and actionable delivery plans. Leading an offshore development team in India, you'll drive sprint execution, mentor engineers, oversee code quality, and ensure successful delivery across multiple initiatives. You will communicate regularly with clients and executive stakeholders, providing project updates, managing risks, and aligning technology investments with business priorities. Additionally, you'll champion modern engineering practices by leveraging GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools, while designing and implementing Agentic AI solutions and cloud-native architectures on AWS to improve efficiency, scalability, and innovation.

What You'll Bring to the Team
