Job summary

Kinzler Construction Services of Ankeny, IA is seeking an IT Intern to support the daily operations of our Information Technology department. This hands-on opportunity covers hardware, software, mobile devices, and internal systems across our growing, multi-location construction business.

As part of the team you will provide first-level technical support, assist with user accounts, hardware deployments, software installations, and routine maintenance tasks, while gaining real-world IT

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year IT-related degree program.
• Junior year or at least one year of school remaining.
• Strong interest in hands-on technical support and learning in a professional IT environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to employees with computer, printer, or mobile device issues.
• Assist with user account setup, password resets, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Support hardware deployment, software installations, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Help track and document IT inventory, including tablets, laptops, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and system access issues across multiple locations.
• Assist with internal system support, including a custom-built ERP platform.
