Job summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to join a team responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of IT systems.

Key duties include helping users, managing accounts and access, installing hardware and software, configuring and maintaining networks and audio visual equipment, and ensuring secure internet services and data integrity. Training and responsibilities will grow over time.

Qualifications

• Providing IT customer service and support for software/hardware problems.
• Managing accounts, network rights and access to systems.
• Installing and upgrading commonly used hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware and software systems.
• Assisting in configuration, installation, and maintenance of network systems (hubs, routers, switches, servers).
• Maintaining and supporting audio visual equipment such as microphones, mixers, encoders, cameras and related hardware.
• Maintaining telecommunications systems and monitoring internet services and servers.
• Analyzing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and security.
