Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions seeks an IT Operations Specialist to support, advise, and maintain computer operations across a facility. You will handle technical support, telecom, operating systems, and network administration to ensure reliable IT service.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and at least five years of relevant experience. You will travel to facilities as needed, maintain backups, and ensure software licensing compliance while collaborating

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum five years of related work experience with hardware and software operations.
Ability to identify and resolve computer problems independently.

Responsibilities

Provides technical support to ensure PCs and servers (hardware/software) function properly.
Tracks technology inventory and reports.
Performs research on specifications and procures hardware/software to standards.
Monitors facility computer operation budgets with regional IT staff.
Maintains system security and manages local domain logins/passwords.
