Job summary

AttainX, Inc. seeks an IT Systems, Network and Data Management Specialist to support the National Weather Service WDTD facilities in Norman, OK. You will handle desktop, laptop, and server administration, network planning, and data management while aligning with government IT guidelines.

The role requires collaboration with OU NWC building owners, providing secure remote connectivity, and maintaining meteorological data workflows. On-site work and a moderate public trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with security procedures for maintaining desktops, laptops, servers, peripherals, and software per government guidelines.
• Experience installing, configuring, and managing enterprise hardware including desktops, laptops, servers, peripherals, and software.
• Proven experience managing computer networks, switches, and connectivity devices.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a closely managed support role.
• Must be able to work onsite in Norman, OK.
• Must be able to obtain a moderate public trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems security and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, peripherals, and software per government guidelines.
• Support and maintain desktop, laptop, and server hardware and software, including peripherals.
• Diagnose and correct hardware and software problems.
• Administer and monitor backup systems (monthly full, daily incremental, two-month window).
• Support the email system in coordination with the Network Manager.
• Support Windows, Linux, UNIX servers, workstations, laptops, and virtual machines.
• Assist the ISSO with Certification and Accreditation requirements as needed.
• Maintain network performance and administer switches and connectivity devices.
• Perform user provisioning, access control, service management, and monitoring.
• Assist with secure remote connectivity (VPNs) and data archiving processes.
