Job summary

CMES Inc. is seeking an IT & Systems Manager to own IT operations across field and office teams. You will plan, implement, and support technology that enables project delivery and corporate functions, balancing strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced civil construction environment.

The ideal candidate will manage vendors, support ERP and project management tools, and maintain secure, scalable systems for growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of progressive IT experience, including infrastructure and end-user support.
Experience managing IT in small to mid-sized orgs, ideally construction or field ops.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day IT operations; troubleshoot, maintain systems, resolve issues.
Serve as primary IT contact for office and field environments.
Develop an IT roadmap aligned with company growth.
Recommend scalable tech to support field productivity and data integrity.
Ensure networks, servers, hardware, and mobile devices operate reliably.
Manage user access, onboarding and role-based permissions.
Support ERP and project management platforms (Viewpoint, Procore, HCSS).
Coordinate upgrades, integrations, and data migrations; ensure cyber controls.
