MiTek Industries in Missouri is offering an eight-week IT internship that provides a supervised, hands-on introduction to enterprise device management. You will learn by documenting the current environment and building small automated tools to detect and fix common issues under senior review.

The program emphasizes structured learning, practical scripting experience, and a developing portfolio of work. Mentorship from experienced IT staff and real-world documentation practices are core outcomes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Basic familiarity with Windows environments; some exposure to scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus but not required.
• Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable documenting their work.
• Able to follow defined processes and take direction, with a genuine interest in learning enterprise IT.

Responsibilities

• Learn the company's device management environment and document how it is configured today.
• Identify recurring, common device issues alongside the IT team.
• Build and test a small library of automated tools that detect and resolve those issues while working within controlled, supervised guardrails.
• Create clear documentation and templates so the team can continue and expand the work after the internship ends.
• Present their work and findings to the team at the conclusion of the internship.
