Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. invites applications for an IT Intern in Documentation & Knowledge Management. The hybrid internship focuses on accelerating the centralized SAP/JDE documentation repository and establishing AI-assisted processes for knowledge capture.

Interns gain hands-on experience, mentoring, and professional development as they support documentation and knowledge-transfer initiatives across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in MIS/IT or related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Available to work full‑time for 12 weeks in Summer 2027
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Review SAP and JDE objects, metadata, and existing docs to understand system functionality.
• Research historical artifacts and change tickets to gather context.
• Identify documentation gaps and opportunities to improve quality and accessibility.
• Leverage approved AI tools to draft technical summaries, processes, specs, and inventories.
• Develop, update, and maintain documentation for knowledge management and future enhancements.
• Organize and maintain documentation repositories for accuracy and accessibility.
• Coordinate SME reviews and incorporate feedback into deliverables.
• Support standardization of documentation practices across IT and business teams.
