Job summary

Sure Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Systems & Infrastructure Manager to lead and strengthen the company’s technology environment as it grows. You will serve as the primary liaison with the MSP and own IT administration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, support, and business systems.

The role will drive the Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migration, including planning, security, data management, and user adoption, while building internal capabilities and governance for scalable growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT, systems administration, infrastructure management, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Experience planning or executing a Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migration strongly preferred.

Job description

Sure Power is seeking an experienced, hands-on IT Systems & Infrastructure Manager to lead and strengthen the company’s technology environment as the organization grows.

This role will serve as the primary internal liaison with Sure Power’s managed service provider (MSP) while progressively taking ownership of IT administration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, support, business systems and technology projects.

A key near-term initiative will be leading Sure Power’s transition from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, including migration planning, security, data management, user adoption and ongoing administration.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on—equally comfortable advising leadership, administering Microsoft 365, leading system implementations and helping employees resolve technology issues.

This individual will understand how the business operates, identify opportunities to make systems more secure and efficient, and progressively build the internal knowledge, processes and infrastructure needed to support Sure Power’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Leadership & Operations

• Own Sure Power’s technology environment and develop an IT roadmap supporting growth, security and operational efficiency.
• Establish consistent IT standards, processes, documentation and governance.
• Advise leadership on technology risks, investments and priorities.
• Manage the MSP, software providers, consultants, licensing and technology budgets.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal IT capabilities and reduce reliance on outsourced support where appropriate.

Microsoft 365 Migration & Administration

• Lead the migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 in coordination with internal stakeholders and outside partners.
• Oversee the migration of email, calendars, contacts, files and shared resources.
• Configure and administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Establish standards for access, security, file sharing, retention, backup and business continuity.
• Develop training and change-management resources to support employee adoption.

Systems Administration & Support

• Manage user accounts, permissions, licensing, security groups and access policies across company systems.
• Oversee employee onboarding, transfers, and offboarding from a technology and security perspective.
• Configure and deploy computers, mobile devices, printers, conference room technology and other equipment.
• Maintain hardware, software and licensing inventories and manage device lifecycles.
• Serve as the primary internal escalation point for technology issues and coordinate with the MSP when needed.
• Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.

Cybersecurity & Business Continuity

• Establish and enforce company-wide cybersecurity standards and best practices.
• Manage multifactor authentication, password policies, administrative privileges and role-based access.
• Coordinate endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability management and security monitoring.
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery and business continuity technology requirements.
• Support security awareness training and technology-related compliance, insurance and audit requirements.

Business Systems & Projects

• Support and improve core platforms, including Salesforce, Acumatica ERP, Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
• Partner with department leaders to improve workflows through technology, automation and system integration.
• Coordinate software implementations, integrations, upgrades and vendor relationships.
• Lead technology projects from requirements and planning through deployment, training and post-implementation support.
• Ensure new solutions align with company security, architecture and data-management standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT, systems administration, infrastructure management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting a growing small- to mid-sized organization.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Experience planning or executing a Google Workspace-to-Microsoft 365 migration strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, endpoint security, networking, backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience managing or working closely with an MSP.
• Experience leading technology implementations and cross-functional projects.
• Familiarity with SaaS applications, integrations, Salesforce, ERP systems or Acumatica is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and project management skills.
