Job summary

Suwannee River Water Management District is seeking a Computer Systems Support Specialist to maintain and support the district's IT, including Windows workstations and servers, network, GIS, VOIP, and intranet, while delivering responsive help desk assistance. An Associate degree in CS/IT is required; a Bachelor's is preferred.

CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications are desirable. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field preferred; experience may substitute for education.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily performance and maintenance of IT systems including Windows workstations/servers, network, file storage, VOIP, GIS, and District website/intranet.
• Ensure best security practices are implemented.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with computer and network hardware.
• Perform maintenance on Windows Servers and Workstations including OS upgrades and patches.
• Provision user accounts and assist with managing Active Directory.
