Job summary

Forward Slash Technology in St. Louis, MO is seeking a mid-level Systems Administrator to support client and internal systems under supervision of senior engineers. You will handle desktop/server/app maintenance, user support, and basic network tasks to ensure reliable operation.

The role emphasizes hands-on, white-glove service, adherence to CJIS requirements, and opportunities for growth through certifications and mentoring within our Engineering team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3-5 years experience in a tiered service or help desk environment.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows environments, networking, and system administration.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to follow procedures, elevate when appropriate, and continuously learn.
• Demonstrated commitment to white glove support and end‑user satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical users.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, servers, and applications.
• Provide Tier 1 end-user support via ticketing, phone, and in person.
• Monitor system logs and performance; escalate issues as needed.
• Support networks and VPN/DNS connectivity; assist with onboarding/offboarding.
• Participate in patching, backups, and cloud services (Microsoft 365).
• Adhere to CJIS security standards and complete audits as assigned.
• Maintain asset records in Autotask and update SOPs.
