Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies in Fort Worth, TX seeks an experienced IT Systems Engineer to design and maintain robust enterprise infrastructure for unmanned aircraft systems, joining a team of engineers and IT professionals.

The role focuses on building and upgrading infrastructure, supporting desktop teams, planning projects, applying patches, enforcing security standards (CMMC 2.0) and ensuring high availability across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Five or more years of experience as an IT Systems Engineer or related position.
• Proficiency in a broad range of infrastructure tools and technologies, including firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, and authentication. Also server operating systems including Windows and Linux. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Proficient in Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and Office 365.
• Networking and infrastructure: VLANs, VPN technologies, firewalls, and networking best practices in a DoD environment.
• Security Frameworks: CMMC 2.0, DFARS 252.204-712, and NIST 800-171; ISO 27001, ITAR beneficial.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new infrastructure as required to accommodate growth and decommission end of life systems.
• Support Desktop Team with advanced Tier 3 troubleshooting and support.
• Plan and implement new efforts set forth by leadership.
• Maintain patching and monitoring of infrastructure.
• Work with IT Security Engineer to monitor and implement strict security standards.
• Enforce strategies for monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting application performance and enterprise infrastructure.
• Collaborate to design, implement, and maintain systems to CMMC 2.0 standards.

We are seeking anexperienced IT SystemsEngineer to maintainandimprove systems infrastructure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• DesignandImplementNewInfrastructure:Buildout new infrastructure asrequiredto accommodate growth andnew requirements and decommission end of life systems.

• Enforce CMMC 2.0 Regulations: Workclosely with CMMC Security Analyst andIT Security Engineer todesign, implement, andmaintainsystemsto CMMC 2.0 standards.

Pay range for this role

$115,000 — $176,000 USD
