Responsibilities

• DesignandImplementSecurityMeasures: Developandenforcesecuritypoliciesandprotocolstoprotectsensitiveinformationandsystemsfromunauthorizedaccessandcyberthreats.
• ConductSecurityAudits: Regularlyassesstheorganization'ssecurityposturethroughauditsandvulnerabilityassessmentstoidentifypotentialweaknessesandrecommendimprovements.
• IncidentResponse: Provideincidentresponsetosecuritybreaches,investigateincidents,anddevelopstrategiestomitigatefuturerisks.
• Updates and Patching: Audit and manage patching across the enterprise.
• SecurityAwarenessTraining: Conducttrainingsessionsforemployeestopromotesecuritybestpracticesandawarenessofpotentialthreats.
• StayUpdatedonSecurityTrends: Keepabreastofthelatestsecuritytrends,technologies,andregulatoryrequirementstoensurecomplianceandenhancesecuritymeasures.
• Enforce CMMC 2.0 Regulations: Work closely with CMMC Security Analyst and other IT staff to implement and maintain CMMC 2.0 guidelines as they relate to cyber security.

Required Qualifications

• EducationalBackground: ABachelor’sdegreeinComputerScience,Cybersecurity,orarelatedfield. Or five or more years’ of work experience as a Security Engineer or related position.
• Experience: five or more years’ of work experience as a Security Engineer or related position, withasolidunderstandingofsecuritymethodologiesandtechnologies.
• TechnicalSkills: Proficiencyinsecuritytoolsandtechnologies,includingfirewalls,intrusiondetectionsystems,andencryptionmethods.FamiliaritywithprogramminglanguagessuchasPython or Powershell.
• OS Platforms: Proficient in Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, and Office 365
• Networking and Infrastructure: Proficient in vlans, VPN technologies, Firewalls, and networking best practices in a DOW environment.
• Security Frameworks: Familiarity with CMMC 2.0 and Dfars 252.204-712 and NIST 800-171. ISO 27001, and ITAR beneficial.
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: RelevantcertificationssuchasCertifiedInformationSystemsSecurityProfessional(CISSP)orCertifiedEthicalHacker(CEH)arehighlydesirable.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a government regulated industry or similar high security industry.

Pay Range

Level III - $129,000 - $158,000

Level IV - $158,000 - $188,000
