Job summary

Asset Technology Group Inc is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to execute project tasks, deploy servers and cloud services, and onboard new clients. You will implement migrations to Microsoft 365 and Azure, configure network devices, and document solutions to enable ongoing support.

The role emphasizes technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and smooth transitions of client environments into the managed services portfolio. On-call duties and site travels are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and basic Azure services.
• Experience configuring and maintaining Hyper-V virtual machines or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules within a business environment.
• Competency in managing Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and file permissions.
• Ability to produce clear, concise network diagrams and technical asset lists.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned project tasks, including the installation and configuration of servers, cloud services, and networking hardware according to project specifications.
• Assist in the technical integration of new clients by performing site assessments, deploying monitoring agents, and aligning local environments with company standards.
• Perform the technical migration of user accounts, mailboxes, and data to Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Set up and configure firewalls, switches, and wireless access points as part of network refresh or expansion projects.
• Create thorough technical documentation of completed work to ensure the Support Desk is fully equipped to provide ongoing maintenance.
• Resolve technical hurdles encountered during project implementation, escalating complex architectural issues to senior engineering staff when necessary.
