Job summary

Cologix is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Systems Administration team. This role designs, deploys and monitors automation that supports core business operations and streamlines cross-team workflows.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in DevOps and infrastructure engineering, strong Linux/Unix admin skills, experience with Ansible and cloud platforms, plus scripting (Python, Ruby, or Perl). Salary is $100,000–$130,000 per year with benefits; must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure or systems engineering
• Strong Linux/Unix admin and networking fundamentals
• Experience with automation/configuration tools such as Ansible
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, and JVM-based environments
• Scripting in Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new product implementations and support DevOps practices across Engineering.
• Collaborate with vendors and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop standards, policies, and procedures for DevOps environments.
• Design simple, repeatable, reliable solutions to streamline systems and workflows.
• Own release management to support controlled deployments.
• Maintain systems, tools, and version control across environments.
• Create technical and operational documentation for new systems.
