Job summary

Cologix, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Systems Administration team to design, deploy, and monitor internal automation that supports core business operations.

You will implement scalable DevOps practices and streamline processes across engineering, development, and production environments. The role demands hands-on experience with Linux, cloud platforms, and automation tools, plus a proactive approach to learning and leadership within technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps.
• 3+ years of experience in infra/ systems engineering or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or equivalents.
• Experience with multiple open-source technologies and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, and JVM-based server environments.
• Scripting skills in Python, PHP, Perl, or Ruby.
• Strong IT operations practices for high availability environments.
• Proactive, able to learn and adapt; demonstrated leadership across technical teams.
• AWS architecture certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of DevOps practices across Engineering.
• Collaborate with vendors and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
• Develop standards, policies, and best practices for DevOps environments.
• Design and implement simple, repeatable, reliable solutions to streamline systems and workflows.
• Own release management to ensure controlled and successful deployments.
• Maintain and support systems and tools across development and production environments.
• Develop and maintain version control processes and related workflows.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps systems and procedures.
• Create technical and operational docs to enable knowledge transfer to support teams.
