Job summary

Elgin Community College seeks a seasoned Technology Services leader to coordinate enterprise projects, manage device deployment, and automate processes across campus. This role partners with senior administration to shape long-term technology decisions.

Responsibilities include replacing computers, managing Jira workflows, API integrations, and ensuring secure, reliable IT systems with strong documentation and user support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or 6+ years in a networked environment with project coordination.
• Certifications such as PMP and ITIL/ITSM required or completed within first year in position; A+, Network+ preferred.
• Experience leading large-scale departmental technology projects with senior leadership.
• Strong ability to analyze and map processes and engineer technical solutions for improvements.
• Extensive knowledge of ITSM/helpdesk tools and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external technology projects for the Technology Services department.
• Lead annual computer replacement initiatives, technology deployments, and major system implementation projects.
• Develop project tracking, reporting mechanisms, and workflow automation processes.
• Serve as a backup resource for technology support personnel and assist with complex technical initiatives.
• Manage enterprise devices and systems (SCCM, Jamf Pro, Active Directory, Google Workspace).
