Job summary

Permian Resources is seeking an IT Systems Analyst in Midland, Texas, reporting to the IT Director. This role provides application support across E&P teams, with ownership of Land, Production Accounting, Facilities, and Production Operations systems.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to build technical knowledge, and able to collaborate effectively across the company. Prior experience in oil and gas and familiarity with tools like Quorum Land and Spotfire is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Foundational knowledge of E&P data, systems, and processes.
• 2+ years of software/application support or business analysis experience.
• Oil & gas industry experience is a plus.
• Exposure to AI-assisted platforms and cloud tooling is a plus.
• Beginner proficiency in SQL.
• Spotfire and/or Power BI experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support across multiple E&P areas, acting as Land IT contact.
• Lead as primary support for designated systems (Quorum Land, Peloton LandView, ProCount, AutoCAD, Scout, RodStar).
• Gather requirements and build small-scale apps or automations as needed.
• Map and analyze business processes to identify improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement resolutions.
• Coordinate vendor relationships and test deployments for assigned systems.
• Monitor support metrics and usage data to identify trends.
• Support change management policies and document system changes.
• Maintain back-end system configuration and updates.
