Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a System Administrator to support IT services across Exchange, Skype for Business, and Office 365 environments. The role involves server, network, and scripting work, with collaboration across internal customers and IT peers to ensure reliable operations.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or 1+ year with a master's, strong communication skills, and a broad understanding of infrastructure and security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Exchange Administration: Support Exchange Server administration tasks, including user mailbox management and troubleshooting email issues.
• Skype for Business: Help manage the Skype for Business deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Office 365 Administration: Assist with the setup, configuration, and management of Office 365 services.
• General IT Support: Provide first-line support to end-users, addressing technical issues and escalating as needed.
• Lifecycle Management: Planning and managing the product lifecycles of existing and new implementations, including applying periodic operating system and application patches.
• Documentation: Thoroughly documenting and maintaining processes, procedures, knowledge base articles, configurations and test plans.
• Security: Ensure compliance to security policy and procedures.
