D.A. Davidson Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator to own and support our computer systems and infrastructure.

The role covers virtual and physical servers, enterprise apps, and related technologies, ensuring a secure, reliable environment across the company. You will troubleshoot incidents, implement automation, and contribute to system design, documentation, and project delivery while collaborating with IT teams and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications.
• Experience administering computer systems in an enterprise environment.
• Scripting/automation, backup and disaster recovery, virtualization, endpoint management, and monitoring.
• Hands-on with AD, Windows, Azure, 365, Office, and VMware or similar enterprise tech.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with sound analytical skills.
• Design, document, and maintain system designs, standards, and configurations.
• Strong communication, judgment, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives; provide guidance to staff.
• Azure and VMware certifications preferred; advanced certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and manage computer systems, infrastructure, and enterprise apps.
• Provide technical ownership for assigned platforms and services.
• Investigate and resolve escalated tickets and major incidents.
• Maintain system availability, security, capacity, and performance.
• Design and improve backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop scripting, automation, and monitoring to reduce manual work and risk.
• Participate in or lead long-term projects and migrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, vendors and service providers.
