Job summary

Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc. (ASC) seeks an IT System Administrator to provide hands-on Tier 2/3 support for end users and systems, both onsite and remote.

The role combines desk-side support with system administration duties, including basic networking and infrastructure coordination with a Managed IT Services Partner. The ideal candidate has five years of IT experience, a relevant degree, and certifications such as A+, Security+, or MS-900.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Helpdesk Tier 2/3, System Administrator, or similar IT role.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, or MS 900 are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on in-person support for onsite users and walk-ups.
• Escalate and resolve complex tickets requiring deeper context.
• Manage device lifecycle tasks including imaging and hardware setup.
• Deploy and support onsite desk equipment and shared resources.
• Resolve software, configuration, and access issues promptly.
• Perform hardware diagnostics and coordinate vendor/warranty service.
• Support networking components and wireless connectivity issues.
• Assist with IT projects requiring onsite presence and coordination with third parties.
• Maintain up-to-date IT documentation and asset inventory.
• Utilize PowerShell to automate repetitive tasks.
• Assist with new hire onboarding and account provisioning.
• Maintain software licensing and policy compliance.
