Job summary

Kohn Law Firm S.C. is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to maintain and secure our IT infrastructure for ~175 employees across the office and remote access. The role covers servers, networks, security tools, and applications, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will implement maintenance procedures, monitor system health, and support both on-site and remote users, helping the firm scale its IT capability as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, security tools, applications, and endpoints.
• Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor system health, and troubleshoot issues.
• Experience with data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and failover processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, and hardware.
• Perform server administration tasks (e.g.: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services).
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor system health, gather statistics, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Manage regular backup operations and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

The Kohn Law Firm has been practicing law in downtown Milwaukee for over 65 years, repeatedly winning the highest accolades from clients across the nation. We’ve been consistently growing in recent years, building out additional office space this year, and looking to grow our IT team accordingly.

The IT Systems Administrator will contribute to the continued success of Kohn Law Firm by taking responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, protection, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and infrastructure. This includes hardware and software installation, as well as research and development of programs to help continuously keep up with the business needs of the Firm. This position will support approximately 175 employees both in the office and with remote access.

IT Systems Administrator duties include

• Maintaining IT infrastructure, including networks, operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
• Performing server administration tasks (e.g.: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services).
• Developing and implementing maintenance procedures, monitoring system health, gathering system statistics, and troubleshooting reported errors, alarms, and issues as they arise.
• Managing regular backup operations and implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
