We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Entry‑Level IT Administrator to support our internal technology operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced professional environment. The position combines technical support, operational coordination, and in-office responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a first point of contact for internal IT requests via the firm’s IT ticketing inbox
- Triage, track, and elevate IT issues to ensure timely resolution
- Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including setting up and configuring user accounts, hardware, and system access
- Package, ship, and receive IT equipment (laptops, monitors, accessories) for employees
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure accurate tracking
- Coordinate with internal team members and external vendors as needed
- Support in‑office IT needs during designated in‑office days
Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or related field
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software (Windows, Microsoft 365, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively
- Clear communication skills and a customer‑service mindset
- Comfortable handling physical tasks such as packaging and moving equipment
Requirements:
- Must be based in the Chicago area
- Ability to work in‑office at least 2 days per week
- Ability to lift and move standard office equipment (e.g., laptops, monitors)
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with ticketing systems or IT support tools
- Exposure to user onboarding/offboarding processes
- Familiarity with IT security practices
