Job summary

The Village Network is seeking a Systems Administrator to ensure a reliable, secure IT environment supporting clinical and administrative staff. You will manage hybrid AD, Entra ID, and Intune across devices, while maintaining security controls and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in IT, a degree in a related field, and experience with healthcare or behavioral health settings. This role includes after‑hours support and opportunities to advance within IT.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of systems administration experience.
  • Experience with hybrid AD/Microsoft Entra ID environments and Windows devices.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support hybrid Active Directory environments (on‑prem with Entra ID).
  • Manage hybrid-joined and cloud-joined devices across the organization.
  • Implement and maintain device compliance policies and configurations.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support and incident response for IT staff.
  • Support regulatory compliance and security audits.

This role supports clinical, administrative, and operational staff by maintaining systems critical to patient care, data security, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in hybrid Microsoft environments, a service-oriented mindset, and experience supporting healthcare or behavioral health organizations.Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:Administer and support hybrid Active Directory environments, including on-premises AD integrated with Microsoft Entra IDManage hybrid-joined and cloud-joined devices across the organizationMaintain user accounts, group policies, conditional access, and identity lifecycle processesMonitor and optimize system performance, availability, and reliabilityManage Windows devices using Microsoft IntuneLead and support conversions from traditional Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to Microsoft Intune configuration profilesDesign, deploy, and maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deploymentsSupport device enrollment, lifecycle management, and remote troubleshootingImplement and maintain security controls to protect sensitive data, including PHISupport compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other applicable regulatory requirementsManage endpoint security, patching, vulnerability remediation, and access controlsAssist with security audits, risk assessments, and incident responseProvide Tier 2/3 technical support for staff, resolving complex system and device issuesCreate and maintain system documentation, standards, and proceduresTrain staff on system use, security best practices, and new technologiesCollaborate with IT leadership on infrastructure planning and modernization initiativesRecommend and implement system improvements to enhance reliability, security, and scalabilityStay current with Microsoft cloud technologies, endpoint management trends, and cybersecurity best practicesParticipate in an after-hours response to cybersecurity alerts, system outages, and critical technical incidents. This includes investigating security events, coordinating incident response, restoring services, and escalating issues as needed to protect organizational systems and data.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3–5 years of experience in systems administration or related IT rolesStrong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365Hands-on experience managing hybrid AD / Microsoft Entra ID environmentsExperience managing hybrid-joined and Entra-joined devicesDemonstrated experience migrating or converting Group Policy to Microsoft IntuneProficiency with Microsoft Intune device and application managementWorking knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)Ability and willingness to participate in after-hours on-call support and respond to urgent security or infrastructure incidents outside of normal business hoursPhysical Demands:Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, computer, printer, etc.Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the companyAbility to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.Ability to drive to locations within and outside of Ohio and be eligible for auto insurance coverage under organization’s plan.Frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 40 pounds.
