Sightpath Medical is seeking an IT Systems Support Engineer for an on-site role in Bloomington, MN. The IT Department is looking for a hands-on technician to support Windows and iOS devices, manage AD and RingCentral, and assist with backups and security across sites.

Responsibilities include tier 1 helpdesk, issue resolution, and documentation. A BS in IT or equivalent experience, plus relevant certifications, are preferred. This full-time position requires on-site work at headquarters.

Qualifications

• This role requires hands-on support for Windows OS and iOS devices.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve common IT issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.
• Familiarity with on-prem AD, remote management tools, and backup software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tier 1 Helpdesk support, handling requests via phone or email.
• Resolve issues or escalate to internal resources as needed.
• Maintain user administration in AD on-prem and O365.
• Perform local backup maintenance and testing with Veeam/Datto.
• Support antivirus, devices, and network infrastructure locally and remotely.
• Document knowledge with clear notes and manuals.

IT Systems Support Engineer - On-Site / Bloomington, MN

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bloomington, Minnesota. We are not considering remote candidates at this time.

About Us

Sightpath Medical is the premier cataract and LASIK mobile services provider in the U.S. We have an opening at our headquarters in Bloomington, MN for an IT Systems Support Engineer in our IT Department.

Responsibilities

• Tier 1 Helpdesk support


• Assist users either via phone, email or Datto Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) to resolve any issues


• Properly elevate unresolved issues to appropriate internal resources


• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time


• Maintain user administration in all systems including RingCentral, Jamf, Active Directory (on-prem), and Microsoft Office 365


• Local backup maintenance and testing


• Maintain Antivirus at all locations


• Local & remote hardware support / troubleshooting and network maintenance


• Phone system maintenance / configuration


• Mobile Device Management (MDM) via Jamf


• Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Systems Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role


• Hands-on experience with Windows OS and IOS devices


• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues


• Familiarity with On-premises Active Directory, remote management tools, Veeam/Datto Backup Software, VMWare, RingCentral, and Jamf are a plus


• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills


• Ability to provide clear step-by-step technical guidance, both written and verbal


• BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience


• Additional certification in Microsoft, VMware or similar technologies is a plus
