Job summary

Talantir is seeking an IT Support Technician in Montgomery, AL to assist with a Windows 10 to Windows 11 device conversion project. This on-site role is a six-month contract, full-time (40 hours/week), with a typical Monday–Friday schedule and potential schedule adjustments.

The candidate should have basic Windows laptop experience, strong end-user communication skills, and reliability in completing tasks. Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Basic technical aptitude with Windows-based laptops.
• Reliable, punctual and able to complete tasks.
• Strong communication with end users.
• Ability to follow deployment processes and instructions.
• Willingness to transport laptops/equipment onsite.
• Previous help desk/IT support experience.
• Experience with device deployment, imaging, or OS upgrades.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the migration of devices from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
• Prepare and configure devices for upgrade.
• Deliver upgraded devices to end users and assist with transition.
• Guide users through closing out old devices and starting on new devices.
• Provide basic help desk-level technical support during the transition.
• Ensure devices are properly set up, connected, and functioning before handoff.
• Maintain professionalism and clear communication with staff during transitions.
• Follow project procedures and documentation for device conversion.
