Job summary

Don Selvy Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Junior IT Specialist to join the DoD-focused team at NAS Patuxent River, Lexington Park, MD. This entry-level role supports IT operations and compliance initiatives under DoD contracts.

You will provide Tier 1–2 support, manage user accounts, configure devices with Intune/Azure AD, help maintain security documentation, and assist with CMMC Level 2 practices. Onsite work is required and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT-related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1–2 years IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration experience.
• Familiar with CMMC Level 1 or NIST 800-171 security principles.
• Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Active Directory knowledge.
• Awareness of security tools like Comodo or Defender.
• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
• Prior experience with government contractors is a plus.
• CompTIA certs (A+, Network+, Security+) preferred.
• Onsite work at NAS Patuxent River, Lexington Park, MD; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support for Windows laptops and basic network issues.
• Assist with user account management, device configuration, and troubleshooting via Intune/Azure AD/M365 Admin Center.
• Maintain IT asset inventories, patch logs, and change records.
• Support implementation of CMMC Level 2 practices including access control and incident response prep.
• Help update security documentation such as System Security Plans and POA&Ms.
• Collaborate to ensure systems remain compliant with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
