Description

The Grand Geneva Campus is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our ON-SITE IT Team. As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical assistance and support to end-users. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues, and providing guidance and training to users. The IT Support Technician may also manage and maintain IT equipment and systems, as well as assist with the implementation of new technologies and upgrades.

What will you be doing?
  1. Provide second-tier technical support and incident management for the corporate office and hotel employees. Escalate complex technical problems to higher tier support.
  2. Respond to urgent situations while remaining calm and positive.
  3. Manage mobile devices, PCs/laptops, acquisition, setup, and delivery.
  4. Meet goals within budget and timeline constraints.
  5. Provide LAN/WAN/Wireless incident management.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and application incidents for third-party service vendors.
  7. Manage incident support for hotel-specific technologies.
  8. Document all asset management changes and ensure all incidents and requests are recorded using corporate ticketing systems.
  9. Perform advanced technical work on cross-team projects as assigned.
  10. Manage Print Server Environment.
  11. Escalate complex technical issues to higher-tier support.
  12. Stay updated on current information system trends and technologies.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of Help Desk, Technical Support, or System Administrator experience.
  • Excellent incident identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prioritize workload based on business needs and meet deadlines.
  • Patience, flexibility, and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Participation in on-call rotation.
  • Solid understanding of technologies including Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suite, mobile OS, Active Directory, wireless networking, advanced PC hardware, and hospitality technologies.
