Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Level 1 and 2 IT support experience.

  • Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platforms.

Position Summary: As our IT Support Technician, you will be part of our IT Department. In this role, you will provide remote and onsite IT support to facilitate the day-to-day workflow of our Winchester employees. Your expertise in information technology and software will be essential. You should be comfortable with operating systems, servers, networking, firewalls, application control, VPNs, wireless access points, and more. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.



Qualifications & Requirements:


  • Minimum of three years of experience providing Level 1 and 2 IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals, and network issues.
  • Hands-on experience provisioning, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining desktops, printers, laptops, and network devices.
  • Experience configuring security devices such as firewalls, level 3 switches, and SD-WAN.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, EntraID, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with collaboration and productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell.
  • Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platforms.
  • VoIP experience is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.

  • Respond promptly to email and telephone requests, accurately logging all helpdesk calls. Use monitoring tools to ensure system uptime, monitor network health, and troubleshoot issues. Assess and respond to support requests independently, keeping employees informed of resolution timelines. Implement solutions following company policies and follow through on commitments to ensure high-quality support.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager and site leadership with professionalism and strong organizational and communication skills. Support the Cable Manufacturing team, being adaptable, patient, and solution-oriented, to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify user difficulties accurately and provide targeted solutions. Develop and document Help Desk procedures, increase your technical knowledge, and build strong partnerships with employees by demonstrating expertise and professionalism.

Pay Transparency:


Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $27.00/hr - $33.00/hr (DOE), plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will depend on your experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.
