Job summary

Kem Krest in Michigan is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to lead technical support efforts, drive innovation, and ensure the performance and security of our IT infrastructure. You will resolve complex incidents, manage desktops and user accounts, enforce security policies, monitor performance, and collaborate on IT projects with a focus on continuous improvement.

This role offers growth, teamwork, and the chance to help protect and optimize our technology.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support or system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, desktop OS, and infrastructure management.
• High School Diploma with on-the-job training or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Advanced technical support: resolve complex IT incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and mentor junior team members.
• System & Network Administration: Independently manage desktop systems, user accounts, updates, and patches.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Enforce security policies and elevate issues as needed.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, generate benchmarks, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Vendor & Asset Management: Coordinate with third-party providers and maintain hardware/software inventories.
• Project Collaboration: Support IT projects, contribute to lessons learned, and apply insights to future initiatives.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Research new technologies, experiment in sandbox environments, and propose enhancements.
