Job summary

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Full-Time Technical Support Specialist position in the Information Technology division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

Under general supervision of the IT Service Manager, the Full-Time Technical Support Specialist is responsible for supervising the provision of technical support services for faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Three (3) or more years of work-related experience; may substitute for the degree year-for-year.
• Experience providing technical support to faculty and staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs helpdesk calls from administrators, faculty and staff.
• Installs Microsoft operating systems and applications software.
• Maintains and repairs computer networks, workstations and peripheral equipment.
• Researches and investigates new technology products for PC networking, software and hardware.
• Develops and conducts training on hardware, software, and network.
