Job summary

Healthcare Fraud Shield is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support and maintain the end-user computing environment, including workstations and company devices. The role also owns onboarding/offboarding, user training, and support documentation under the IT Security Manager.

This on-site position requires daily on-site work, handling office tech, security badges, conference room systems, inventory, and asset transfers while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT support experience; HIPAA-regulated environment preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and Group Policy.
• Experience with endpoint patch management and vulnerability remediation on Windows workstations.
• Experience supporting mobile devices and mobile device management platforms.
• PowerShell scripting for automating tasks.
• Basic firewall familiarity to configure VPNs.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to train and coach non-technical users.
• Experience using approved AI tools for routine tasks and documentation.
• Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information.
• Ability to work on site daily and lift/move IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, effective help desk support to internal users, monitoring and responding to requests by phone, email, or messaging.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Train end users on company hardware, software, and IT procedures, including new-hire orientation.
• Escalate out-of-scope issues to IT Security Manager or IT Operations staff.
• Deploy, configure, and manage end-user workstations and company assets (Intune).
• Manage company mobile device fleet and configuration; ensure security policies.
• Enforce device security and remote wipe on company devices.
• Create and maintain user accounts and permissions in Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
• Onboard/offboard employees end-to-end including license assignment and badge access.
• On-site operations including inventory, shipments, and conference room tech.
• Maintain documentation for support procedures and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and HIPAA safeguards.
