Job description

Schedule: Full-Time, In-Person — Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Landry/French Construction is seeking a motivated IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support across multiple office locations and active construction job sites. This hands‑on role supports both office and field teams by ensuring reliable technology, responsive assistance, and well‑maintained systems.

The ideal candidate has experience providing end‑user support in a Windows and Microsoft 365 environment and is comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal IT resources.

Key Responsibilities
Help Desk Operations & User Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for daily IT support requests across the organization
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows 11, Microsoft 365, email, connectivity, hardware, and business applications
  • Manage ticket intake, prioritization, documentation, and escalation as needed
  • Maintain internal documentation, SOPs, and standard configurations to support consistent service delivery
User & Access Provisioning
  • Provision and maintain user accounts and access in Microsoft 365 and on‑premises Active Directory
  • Assign licenses, security groups, and role‑based access to applications and shared resources
  • Support onboarding and offboarding workflows to ensure proper user lifecycle management
  • Assist with access to collaboration tools such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
Device Deployment & Configuration
  • Prepare and deploy Windows 11 devices using standard device deployment and management processes
  • Configure required applications, baseline policies, and security settings
  • Set up workstations for new hires, including monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and user profiles
  • Ensure devices meet organizational standards and are properly managed
Hardware Setup & Maintenance
  • Provide ongoing setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance for workstations, printers, and conference room technology
  • Support basic connectivity and device troubleshooting, including cabling and wireless access
  • Maintain and support peripheral equipment such as monitors, docking stations, webcams, and headsets
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure devices remain secure, updated, and operational
Field & Job Site Support
  • Travel between office locations and to active construction job sites to support IT needs
  • Set up, maintain, and tear down IT equipment including:
    • Job site workstations
    • Connectivity equipment
    • Large‑format printers and scanners
    • Tablets and mobile devices
  • Assist field staff with on‑site connectivity, system access, and troubleshooting
Required Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years of IT support experience, ideally in a multi‑site or field‑based environment
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Windows 11
    • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
    • Active Directory and Group Policy (user and computer management)
    • Basic endpoint and device management concepts
  • Experience supporting workstations, printers, scanners, and peripherals
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent foundational IT credential
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Familiarity with construction or field‑based work environments
  • Experience with basic AV equipment for meetings or events (training available)
