Job summary

Vermeer Corporation in Iowa is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist employees globally with computer use and troubleshooting. You will document issues, create tickets, and help prepare hardware for deployment on PCs and Macs.

The role requires an Associate Degree in IT or equivalent experience, knowledge of Active Directory, Windows, Mac and Linux OS, and Microsoft Office. Occasional travel is expected; on-site work is performed at Vermeer campuses.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Information Technology related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Knowledge of Active Directory.
• Detailed knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
• Knowledge of Mac and Linux Operating Systems desired.
• Knowledge of computer hardware systems & components.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to monitor network lines and create patch cables.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers and team members in a timely manner through multiple forms of communication including phone, email, instant messaging, in person, and ticket requests.
• Create and elevate request tickets to document issues and resolutions.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills through troubleshooting, diagnostics, research, and documentation.
• Work jointly with team members to prepare hardware for deployment by installing the appropriate hardware, software and peripherals for both PCs and Macs.

Job Summary

Are you the type of person who enjoys working with people and troubleshooting problems? In this role you will be responsible for working with Vermeer employees globally on computer use. We’re looking for an individual who can demonstrate the ability to solve problems while prioritizing issues.
