Job summary

Red River Commodities is seeking an IT Support Specialist to be the primary contact for end-user technology and ERP-related inquiries. You will provide Tier 1 support for hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 apps, and help ensure reliable technology across the organization.

Ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting, clear communication, and the ability to handle multiple requests while collaborating with IT staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 support for software, hardware, access, and other end-user technology issues.
• Provide primary support for ERP-related questions, incidents, and service requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and customer-focused manner.
• Log, track, prioritize, and document requests in the IT service desk system.
• Escalate complex issues to internal IT resources or software vendors and follow through to resolution.
• Assist with user setup, application access, onboarding, and basic training.
• Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in testing application updates, enhancements, and process changes.
• Work with employees, Process Improvement, IT, and vendors to support business applications.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements.
• Assist with other IT projects and support responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary:

The IT Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for end-user technology and business application support across Red River Commodities. This role provides Tier 1 technical assistance for hardware, software, system access, Microsoft 365 applications, and ERP-related inquiries, ensuring employees receive timely and effective support. This position plays a key role in supporting business operations by delivering exceptional customer service, promoting knowledge sharing, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and helping ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the organization's technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar applications and business processes.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize work effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with employees, IT staff, and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting an ERP system or other business applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience using a ticketing or IT service management system.
• Experience creating technical documentation or user instructions
