Job summary

Carex Consulting Group is seeking an IT Support Engineer to maintain hardware, software, networks, and OT across corporate offices, manufacturing, and logistics environments. The role involves hands-on support for printers, RF scanners, handheld terminals, and other devices, while using AI-assisted tools to speed up troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.

The candidate should have 3+ years of IT support experience, an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), and certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of IT support experience or equivalent.
• At least one industry certification (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA).
• Fundamental knowledge of computer systems, hardware, OS, and enterprise networking.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows OS.
• Experience with cloud-based endpoint and device management (Intune, JAMF).
• Understanding of Layer 1/2 networking; wireless in warehouse/manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting printers, RF scanners, handheld devices, printers, OT devices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools and validating AI outputs.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks; ServiceNow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, support, and maintain hardware, software, OS, networks, printers, mobile devices, and OT devices in office, manufacturing, and logistics settings.
• Support RF scanners, handheld terminals, label printers, and other connected devices.
• Monitor and maintain systems and networks across multiple sites.
• Respond to service requests, diagnose issues, and provide proactive support.
• Provide user support and communicate operational impact of tech disruptions.
• Provision accounts and devices for new users using modern management platforms.
• Repair, replace, and decommission hardware per standards.
• Troubleshoot networking issues including Wi‑Fi in diverse environments.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, research, and knowledge transfer; validate outputs.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
• Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotation; travel up to 25%.
• Assist in testing new technologies and documenting knowledge transfer.
