Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking an IT help desk professional to provide first-level support for end-users across the organization. This role handles hardware and software issues, including JD Edwards and Pivotal applications, and requires training new employees on PC basics and Outlook.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 1–3 years of help desk experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering excellent customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 1-3 years of experience in a help desk environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provides first level support for all end-users within the Company.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
• Configures computer systems for all end-users. Handles installation and troubleshooting for model broadband connection issues.
• Conducts new employee classes covering basic PC functions, Outlook and CFT training. Creates documentation for new computer builds.
• Performs all other duties as required.

Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

Work Conditions

• Rotating shift.
• Weekend work required.
• Travel needed occasionally.
• Some lifting may be required.

Requirements

Minimum Education Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field and 1-3 years of experience in a help desk environment.

• Knowledge of general computer applications including Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems/issues.
