Job summary

Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC seeks a part-time IT Support student to provide in-person and phone assistance for computer systems. You will troubleshoot, deploy hardware/software, and answer user questions while remaining available during the semester and possibly through the summer.

Applicants must be enrolled at BJU, with a willingness to learn and strong attention to detail. Lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required and punctuality is essential.

Description

SUMMARY:Provide technical support, both in person and on the phone, for BJU computer systems by troubleshooting and resolving issues, by deploying hardware and software components, and by providing answers to questions related to support.

Applicant would need to start during the semester. Work is available during the summer if desired.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
• 18 years old with a valid driver's license preferred
• Aptitude for training and developing users
• Ability to proactively identify tasks that need to be done
• Ability to follow instructions and to pay attention to details
• Working knowledge of basic MS Office applications
• Desire and aptitude to learn new technologies
• Must (occasionally) lift/carry up to 20 lbs. and /or push/pull up to 25 lbs.
