Job summary

Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to manage scheduling, receiving, and cleaning of the campus trips fleet in support of university operations. You will coordinate with multiple departments on transportation needs and assist the Transportation Supervisor with administrative duties as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years related work experience, strong logistics and communication skills, and a valid CDL with bus/tractor-trailer experience.

Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Manage scheduling, receiving, and cleaning of trips fleet in support of BJU operations. Coordinate with various departments on the transportation needs. Assist Transportation Supervisor with administrative duties as needed.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate vehicles for trip requests and special events
• Maintain vehicle repair and service schedules
• Maintain vehicle registrations and titles
• Maintain tax reports for IFTA and IRP
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Logistic skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Professional in appearance and presentation
• IFTA Regulation Training or willingness to acquire certification
• DOT Regulation Training or willingness to acquire certification
• CDL License (Bus and Tractor/Trailer)
• Fleet vehicle operation experience

OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Drive motorized vehicles
• Exposed to dust, fumes, gases
• Exposed to marked changes in temperature
• Work outdoors in varying weather
• Repetitive hand movement (firm grasp)- both hands
• Repetitive hand movement (grasp and pull) - both hands
