Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an IT Storage Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure. You will manage high-performance, low-latency storage for mission-critical workloads such as simulation and telemetry, with hands-on work on NetApp, Pure Storage, Vast, and HPE Alletra systems.

You will collaborate with compute and networking teams, develop automation tooling, and participate in on-call rotations and occasional hardware installation.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent with 3+ years storage engineering experience.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms and on-premises environments.
• Strong understanding of storage protocols (NFS, CIFS/SMB, iSCSI, NVMe over TCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain multi-tier storage infrastructure for high-performance workloads.
• Architect and operate high-throughput, low-latency storage for exabyte-scale workloads.
• Administer NetApp, Pure Storage, Vast, and HPE Alletra storage systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize storage performance across hardware and software layers.
• Collaborate with compute, networking, and application teams on workload requirements.
• Automate monitoring, capacity planning, config management, and alerts.
