Job summary

SST Champions College Prep in Houston, TX seeks an IT Specialist for full-time support. You will collaborate with district staff to implement instructional technology and provide ongoing training for teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, maintain inventories, coordinate procurement, and ensure resources are available for classroom use during normal school hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software.
• Experience with instructional technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with district staff to implement instructional technology.
• Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing instructional technology initiatives.
• Provide ongoing in-service to teachers, administrators and paraprofessionals in the use of instructional technology and hardware applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software to identify computer malfunctions.
• Maintain technology inventory records.
• Coordinate efforts to assist schools in identifying, acquiring, using, and evaluating computer hardware and appropriate software.
• Establish and maintain technology resources for classroom use.
• Attend required local, state, and other meetings/workshops for information sharing with district schools.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• CooperatingwiththeDistrictstaffinthetotalefforttobringaboutqualityeducationforstudentsthroughthe use ofinstructional technology.
