Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to provide technical support for PCs, network infrastructure, and mainframe client servers. You will test, update, maintain, and train users while responding to helpdesk requests.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related IT experience, with strong communication skills. Government experience is a plus; probation and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of related IT experience in system engineering, network engineering, information security, or similar fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; government experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers for PCs and network infrastructure.
