Job summary

Baltimore City seeks an Information Technology Specialist to provide technical support for PCs, network infrastructure, and mainframe client servers. You will test, update, maintain, and train users on software and hardware, while responding to helpdesk requests.

Leadership and government IT experience are valued. The role requires a bachelor's degree and at least one year of IT experience; PMP/CISM credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year of related IT experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous IT lead experience preferred.
• Previous IT experience in government preferred.
• Advanced technical credentials (PMP, CISM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers for PCs and network infrastructure.
• Test, update, maintain, and train on mainframe client servers and software.
• Respond to helpdesk requests and lead less experienced staff when needed.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and analyses.
• Develop and maintain system software and testing procedures.
