James Madison University is seeking an IT Specialist for the Financial Aid and Scholarships office. The role supports the Madison Scholarship Hub, manages digital platforms, and communicates with students and parents.

A strong problem-solving mindset and experience in application and system support are essential. The position requires handling sensitive data with discretion and coordinating with the HelpDesk.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of computers, data analysis, troubleshooting and website management.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data from databases.
• Application and system support experience.

Responsabilidades

• Be the main point of contact for Madison Scholarship Hub support, including weekly maintenance, scholarship setup, data file adjustments, criteria configuration, security configuration, cycle management and training guides.
• Manage Financial Aid and Scholarship digital platforms including the Financial Aid and Scholarship websites.
• Build and manage a constant social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
• Exercise good judgment and be a good steward of the Financial Aid Office's confidential data.
• Process extraction of data from the PeopleSoft Student Administration system for reporting to various constituents.
• Manage scheduled jobs, jobsets, queries and ensure parameters are updated and jobs run successfully.
• Provide internal diagnostic troubleshooting of PC problems within hardware, software, and networking.
• Coordinate with JMU's HelpDesk to triage and fix issues.
• Manage outgoing Financial Aid communications to students and parents.
• Create and manage training guides and procedural documents for the Technology area.
