Job summary

Duke University seeks an IT Sourcing Manager reporting to the Senior Director Supply Chain IT Sourcing to develop long-term IT spend strategies and drive cost reductions across software, SaaS, cloud, and hardware.

You will lead bid processes, complex negotiations, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional sourcing activities, delivering value while ensuring compliance and alignment with Duke Health System needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or business related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible contract administration/procurement experience.
• Strong consultative, analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in quantitative analysis; process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage IT supplier contracts; lead, mentor, and coach sourcing team.
• Lead cross-functional IT sourcing activities and manage spend reductions.
• Perform IT spend analysis across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and services.
• Create evaluation models and lead vendor negotiations including licensing terms.
• Develop sourcing plans, benchmark suppliers, and manage vendor performance.
• Provide analytics to support informed purchase decisions; maintain IT policy knowledge.
• Manage budgets and supervise subordinates; collaborate with legal, regulatory, risk, and finance.
• Survey customers to assess processes and benchmark, manage roadmap.
